Varignana Emotional Tunnel

Design, production development and set-up of a 21 meters long interactive carpet that reproduces a virtual watercourse.

The set-up, consisting of 11 projections and a half-way monitor reproducing an incessant waterfall, accompanies the SPA guests in the path that divides the pools from the saunas.

Thanks to Microsoft Kinect cameras the carpet reacts to the visitors’ passage: the guests’ footsteps generate waves and scare away the fish.

The sounds of pounding water and water drops, reproduced through localized sounds, help to make the environment more immersive.
